WAIT!!!

99% of users do not have to manually activate!  First try the following:

1 - Make sure your Internet is working.

2 - If you cannot activate your product, try disabling your Anti-Virus and trying again.

3 - If you are running under Windows Vista, please read our FAQ to make sure you are not having any Vista-related problems.

4 - Make sure you have not exceeded your license limit!

5 - Make sure your time and date are accurate (this can cause problems).

Possible Vista Problems:

Thanks to wonderful Vista, if you are not signed in as Administrator, you do not have access to write files into C:\Program Files.

So, to get this to work, You can just login with Administrator rights

OR

1 - Go to C:\Program Files\Pre-Med Flashcards

 

 

2 - Click on Compatibility Files

3 - Copy the license.lic file from the compatibility Files and paste it into your c:\Program files\Pre-Med Flashcards

4 - You will get a UIC message (something like this):

5 - Accept and you should be done. Re-Run the program, and it should work.

I bought your full-version program, but when I go to install it, it's just the trial version. What's going on?

Again, this is a Vista issue.  If you are not running under Administrator, Vista will not allow you to write files.  Here is how you can fix this issue:

Step 1 - Go to the folder where you have downloaded the full version of Pre-Med Flashcards (or your CD-ROM)

Step 2 - Find the file setup.exe and right click on this file.

Step 3 - Go to Properties > Compatibility, and under the Privilege Level - Check the box "Run this program as admin."  Click OK. That should fix this issue.

Manual Activation Instructions

Here's an overview of what is done -- Below are step-by-step picture instructions:

1 – Unplug or Disable your Internet (temporarily)

2 – Run Pre-Med Flashcards

3 – Put in your key code (it was e-mailed and/or shipped to you)

4 – An error message will appear (You can plug in your internet or turn it back on)

5 – Right click on start and click “explore” – goto c:\program files\Pre-Med Flashcards

6 – Find the file license.req and zip this up by right clicking on the file and “send to” zipped folder.

7 – email us this file (zipped), and we will send you back your license file.

 

This will walk you through how to manually activate your product:

Note:  Please unplug your Ethernet Cord (turn off Internet) before proceeding!!!

This is done so that we can generate the request file without the automatic licensing to take place.

First, run the program as shown below:

 

This box should appear:

Click "Yes" and assuming your Internet connection is not working (If it is working right, you're done and do not need to proceed further), this black box will appear:

The black box will be up for approximately 10-30 seconds.  Then this box will appear:

Click OK.  Now right click on the start button and click "Explore" as shown below:

Now goto Program Files and try to find the folder called "Pre-Med Flashcards"

Open this folder and the following files should appear:

This is the license request file that you will need to either send us or copy to a floppy or USB drive and go to another computer with an Internet connection.

If you'd just like us to create your license file, just send us this file (if you already have an e-mail account setup, the following step will work): Right click on the file -> send to -> mail recipient

If you want to create your license yourself, copy to a floppy drive licenserequest.exe and license.req to a floppy or USB drive.

E-mail this file to us at info@premedflashcards.com

You can plug your Ethernet Cord back in!

We will e-mail you back a file called license.lic.  Copy this to your Pre-Med Flashcards folder.  You're done.

If you elect to create one yourself, go to a computer with an Internet connection with these two files on your floppy drive or USB drive.  Run the LicenseRequest.exe program.

The license.lic will automatically be created. 

Copy and paste this file and put it in program files \ Pre-Med Flashcards

It should look like this when completed:

You're done.  The program should run without problems, and you do not need to activate the product again.
